We were excited to welcome Danielle Peazer into our salon to offer her a new temporary way of hair extensions.
Danielle was looking for way to add volume and length to her hair but didn’t want to commit to a permanent method. Clip In extensions are the best option as you can easily clip them in and out when you want that extra boost!
Want to know how to get the best from your extensions with the application? Make sure you have a comb, hair spray and clip before you start.
Start with clean hair as any oiliness at the roots may make it harder to secure your clip-ins comfortably.
Section your hair from ear to ear just using your little fingers, rather than a comb. It doesn’t have to be a perfectly straight line!
Secure the remaining hair on top of your head with a large clip.
Taking a backcombing brush or a comb, start to gently tease and backcomb the section of hair so that you create a ‘shelf’ to attach your clip to. Finally, spray the area with hairspray to provide grip.
:Next, taking your clip in set, unsnap the grips ready to clip to your hair. It’s a good idea to feel the teeth while clipping them in and making sure that the teeth are pushed through the section of hair fully as this will make the hair feel secure.
Once the clip ins are fitted it is best to look at the back of your head with mirrors and make sure that you’re happy that there is no bump.
One your clip ins are secured you can style them! Having added volume means you can play around with different styles. Use a big barrel wand to create a beachy curl, the beauty of extensions is they hold the style well!
