Back to posts

Whether you are packing your bags for a festival abroad or planning a day trip to your favourite event, we have all the tips and advice to get you through the festival season in style!

From what to pack to how to style your hair we have split our guide so it’s easy to follow!

What hair products to pack?

If you’re lucky enough to be glamping and have access to a warm shower, then looking after your hair should be a breeze. Just remember to decant your favourite shampoos and conditioners into travels size bottles to keep your hair looking it’s best.

If you are camping, then don’t despair you can still achieve your daily glow-up.

  • Tangle Teezer – Bring your tangle teezer to ensure you keep your hair looking it’s best and can easily brush out any knots or tangles
  • Dry shampoo – It will be your saviour, a great way to refresh your hair and can also be used to give your hair a little extra volume!
  • Shampoo & Conditioner – we recommend taking travel sized products of your favourite salon quality shampoo to keep your extensions looking their best.
  • Sun cream – make sure you regularly top up with sun cream but be sure to choose the right products that won’t stain your extensions. We advise opting for a mineral-based sun cream, we recommend Green People, Hawaiian Tropic Mineral and Hello Sunday The Mineral One which are all coral reef friendly and don’t contain any bad staining chemicals. All of these sun creams are easily available in boots, or you can order online.

How should I style my hair extensions?

Bouncy, effortless curls! If you are spending the festival season camping you won’t have access to your favourite straighteners or curlers, so you will need to find another solution. Luckily when you have hair extensions, they hold a style. If you curl your hair the morning before the festival the style will hold for up to 3 days!

There will be no need to re touch to keep your curls intact. You can just bring along some hair spray or dry shampoo to keep your look refreshed. If you apply your hair spray to your brush it acts like a moisturiser concealing any flyways or frizzy ends to hold your style in place.

If instead you want a simple and easy hairstyle to keep your hair away from your face and off your neck opt for a low bun, pony, or braids. We recommend styling your hair in low styles whilst you have hair extensions, so you don’t over direct the connections.
