How Many Tape in Extensions For Full Head?

If you don’t like to commit to time consuming beauty treatments, tape extensions are a great option for you as they are quick and easy to apply. It’s a semi-permanent method which is super discreet and reusable.

What happens in a tape extension service?

Our express service includes a colour match from our hair range, fitting, cutting, and blending the hair extensions then styling and finishing.

What happens in a refit appointment?

Refit appointments include a removal of your tape extensions and refitting them carefully to maximise the number of refits. A wash, blow-dry and trim is also included in the price of a re-fit for 14 or more pairs of tape extensions.

How do I book an appointment?

All our appointments start with a free consultation, these can be done in the salon or via Facetime. This allows you to have a good chat to one of our expert stylists to find out which method is best for you and your hair type. It also gives you a chance to ask any questions you have and to have a test piece fitted to see how they feel and to find out which method is best suited to you. You can wear the test piece for a week, wash your hair and see how you get on with extensions before commiting to your appointment.

How many tape extensions do I need for a full head?

If you want to go for a full head of tape extensions, we recommend a mega all out which is 28 pairs. Our tape extension service starts at 6 pairs and goes up to 28 pairs depending on what look you want to achieve. You can easily control the amount of hair being added with tape hair extensions. Tape extensions are designed to add volume to fine hair and are most suited to those with normal or finer hair types. If you have thick and glossy hair at the root you might be better suited to one of our permanent methods. You can find out more about all the different method we offer on our website. Sarah McKenna is the founder of Vixen & Blush and The London Hair Lab. Sarah graduated as a research biochemist in 2005 and started a career within the pharmaceutical industry, before becoming a hair extensions expert. In 2010, Sarah gained insight into the hair extensions industry and could see that clients had a very poor value/quality proposition. At that time, poor-quality hair extensions were available, at prohibitively high prices. Sarah left her initial career and set out on a mission to improve the hair extensions industry in the UK, using her research and development skills.

Spending 3 years securing a high-quality and sustainable supply of human hair, Sarah then developed new products and fitting techniques to allow long-term refits of the same hair. In this way, Sarah was able to offer hair extensions services at a more affordable price to clients, while improving the quality of the service for her clients.

With Vixen & Blush starting in 2012 as a 1 chair salon in London, Sarah quickly grew the business to what it is today, a team of more than 20 hair professionals working together as London’s leading hair extensions specialists.
