I’m sure if you’ve looked into having hair extensions at all you would’ve come across this method by now. Well, we do things a little differently here!
Micro Ring Hair Extensions are the most popular type of hair extensions at Vixen & Blush. We have sourced the smallest type of tubes to use for our micro ring hair extensions. These tubes flatten completely so that the connections are super discreet and also feel really comfortable. They come in a huge array of colours, making it easy for us to find the colour best matched to your hair.
It’s worth adding that we do not and will not use just any old micro rings that you can get online or in the shops, but have in fact designed and produced our own out of the strongest metal available. We’ve been using these for years and our clients love them, mainly because they can be less than half the size of rings used elsewhere, and we stock 3 different sizes so that we can customise what we use from client to client. This gives us an extra control over what we fit and results in much more natural looking hair extensions.
Aside from them being natural looking hair extensions, being really comfortable and easy to maintain, the below highlights some other important pros to Micro Ring Hair Extensions.
By the time your three month fitting is up, the hair will still be in amazing condition. For this reason our clients love the fact that you can simply re-fit the same hair again for half the price!
With our Micro-Bonding method, the hair will naturally shed over the three month period, leaving you with less volume by the time you come around to your removal due to strands of hair escaping from the seal over time. This does not happen with Micro-Ring hair extensions.
Although our Micro Bonding method is not damaging to your hair, we do understand that ‘glue-in’ hair extensions have a bit of a reputation and that for this reason some of our clients would just prefer to steer clear. Having Micro Rings totally puts their minds at ease.
Sarah McKenna is the founder of Vixen & Blush and The London Hair Lab. Sarah graduated as a research biochemist in 2005 and started a career within the pharmaceutical industry, before becoming a hair extensions expert. In 2010, Sarah gained insight into the hair extensions industry and could see that clients had a very poor value/quality proposition. At that time, poor-quality hair extensions were available, at prohibitively high prices. Sarah left her initial career and set out on a mission to improve the hair extensions industry in the UK, using her research and development skills.
Spending 3 years securing a high-quality and sustainable supply of human hair, Sarah then developed new products and fitting techniques to allow long-term refits of the same hair. In this way, Sarah was able to offer hair extensions services at a more affordable price to clients, while improving the quality of the service for her clients.
With Vixen & Blush starting in 2012 as a 1 chair salon in London, Sarah quickly grew the business to what it is today, a team of more than 20 hair professionals working together as London’s leading hair extensions specialists.
