We may have just stepped into Autumn, but we are here to get you ahead on the next season.

Winter is right around the corner, and with the changing season it’s the perfect time to refresh your look and embrace some new hair trends. Whether you’re doing the classic of going darker and glossier for the Winter season or want to add a touch of dimension to your look, we’ve got you covered. Here are the must try winter hair trends to help you get ahead of the season!

These are the winter hair trends that are worthy of your attention:

Beautiful Balayage

The benefit of balayage is that it can give the most flawless glow-up to your hair. For Winter opt for natural earthy tones and multi-dimensional blondes. Go for subtle blonde tones in the mid lengths and ends of your hair to achieve a low maintenance lived in look.

Adding Accessories

Hair jewellery and bows are going to be big for Winter, the perfect accessory to take your look to the next level. This is easy, versatile and perfect for all your Winter events and parties. It’s as simple as adding one single ribbon to your ponytail or play around with layering multiple bows for different textures and a bigger impact!

Wintery & Autumnal Hues

As soon as we hit Autumn, and the leaves start to change colour it’s a sign to follow suit with your hair. Copper hair has been trending all year and it will continue to be popular throughout Winter. We will see a rise in deeper and richer copper tones as going darker becomes more popular.

A Fresh Chop with Bangs

There is nothing better than a fresh haircut, it’s such a rewarding experience and you feel like a whole new person after! The nostalgic curtain bangs had there moment and for Winter we expect to see lots of layered looks. Add some texture spray to the ends of your hair to highlight your layers and create a voluminous look.

High Gloss

Glossy hair that is so shiny! We are seeing a big push towards healthy hair, taking more time to use the correct products and protect your hair from heat damage. A fresh cut and the correct products can make a world of difference for your hair. The simplest way to rock this trend is to invest in some hydrating products to use on the mid lengths and ends of your hair.

Add Hair Extensions

With all of these colour trends also comes hair extensions! Once you have found your perfect shade why not enhance it with added length and volume. From as little of 6 pairs of Tape extensions for a volume boost to a full head off 22″ Micro Rings, at Vixen and Blush we are leading the way in natural hair extensions. Our team feel proud to be able to achieve these results for our clients and are grateful for every client who trusts us with their hair!

Sarah Mckenna

Sarah McKenna is the founder of Vixen & Blush and The London Hair Lab. Sarah graduated as a research biochemist in 2005 and started a career within the pharmaceutical industry, before becoming a hair extensions expert. In 2010, Sarah gained insight into the hair extensions industry and could see that clients had a very poor value/quality proposition. At that time, poor-quality hair extensions were available, at prohibitively high prices. Sarah left her initial career and set out on a mission to improve the hair extensions industry in the UK, using her research and development skills.

Spending 3 years securing a high-quality and sustainable supply of human hair, Sarah then developed new products and fitting techniques to allow long-term refits of the same hair. In this way, Sarah was able to offer hair extensions services at a more affordable price to clients, while improving the quality of the service for her clients.

With Vixen & Blush starting in 2012 as a 1 chair salon in London, Sarah quickly grew the business to what it is today, a team of more than 20 hair professionals working together as London’s leading hair extensions specialists.
