Discover the ultimate must-haves! Our stylists unveil the top 8 products for flawless hair.

Finding the best products to use can be a little daunting, it’s tempting to go for the supermarket options but investing in good products is worth it to keep your hair looking it’s best – take it from the professionals!

To whittle down the best products to use on your hair we quizzed our team of specialist stylist to find out what we should be putting on our shopping list. From there go to heat protector sprays to the best shampoos and conditioners we find out which products are stylist approved.

  1. GHD Bodyguard Protector Spray

This one comes highly rated by a lot of the stylists in the salon. The spray doesn’t just smell amazing, but it helps protect your hair from any heat styling. A top tip from our stylists is to make sure you section your hair and ensure you spray the heat protector thoroughly. You can also use it on wet and dry hair so it’s a versatile product.

  1. Colour Wow coconut infused leave in treatment.

As well as having some great packaging what’s inside is even better when it comes to the Colour Wow products! It delivers on keeping your hair healthy. It’s got safe ingredients, no bad chemicals and it keeps the frizz at bay. We stock Colour Wow products in our salon so you can easily pick up a product to try on your next visit.

  1. Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Primer

This is a great product to take with you on holiday, it will protect your hair from UV rays!

  1. Colour Wows Speed Dry

The Colour Wow speed dry is a great product to spray through layer by layer and it helps to accelerate the drying process.

  1. Bed Head Rush Super Shine Spray

If you want to add gloss to your hair use the shine spray on the mid lengths and ends of your hair. Our stylists recommend avoiding spraying it at the root. It can be hard to achieve that glossy shine with blonde hair and this is a great product for achieving that healthy look.

  1. Redken Volume Shampoo

Redken came up a lot when we asked our stylists which shampoo and conditioner to use, depending on your hair type that are a lot of different variations on offer that can help and benefit your hair every wash.

  1. Moroccan Oil

It’s always a good idea to have a hair oil in your haircare routine. Moroccan oil can be used on the mid lengths and ends of your hair to keep them moisturised and healthy.

  1. Tangle Teezer

The tools you use are also equally important! Tangle Teezers are great to use with your extensions.

Investing in the right hair products is essential for maintaining healthy, beautiful hair. Whether you’re aiming for smooth and sleek or bouncy and voluminous, incorporating these must-have products into your routine will help you achieve your hair goals. Say goodbye to bad hair days and hello to your best hair ever!

Sarah McKenna is the founder of Vixen & Blush and The London Hair Lab. Sarah graduated as a research biochemist in 2005 and started a career within the pharmaceutical industry, before becoming a hair extensions expert. In 2010, Sarah gained insight into the hair extensions industry and could see that clients had a very poor value/quality proposition. At that time, poor-quality hair extensions were available, at prohibitively high prices. Sarah left her initial career and set out on a mission to improve the hair extensions industry in the UK, using her research and development skills.

Spending 3 years securing a high-quality and sustainable supply of human hair, Sarah then developed new products and fitting techniques to allow long-term refits of the same hair. In this way, Sarah was able to offer hair extensions services at a more affordable price to clients, while improving the quality of the service for her clients.

With Vixen & Blush starting in 2012 as a 1 chair salon in London, Sarah quickly grew the business to what it is today, a team of more than 20 hair professionals working together as London’s leading hair extensions specialists.
