“The cost really varies from client to client because everything we do is completely tailored. It depends on a few key factors, such as the amount of hair needed to achieve your desired look, the desired length, and the method that suits your hair type and lifestyle. For example, someone wanting a lot of volume and length will need more hair than someone who wants to fill out the sides of their hair. We always do a full consultation beforehand to give a personalised quote and ensure you’re getting the right method and amount of hair to suit you perfectly.”

Everyone’s hair goals are different. Whether you’re after added volume, extra length, or both, the amount of hair required will affect the final price.
Application method
In our central London salon, we offer a range of hair extension methods, including Micro Rings, Micro Bonds, Tape, and Clip-in hair extensions. During your free consultation, we will help you choose the best method for your lifestyle and hair goals.
We spoke to our senior stylist, Jade, to find out what she considers before recommending a method to a client.
“There are a few key things I always consider before recommending a method. First is hair density; if someone doesn’t have a lot of natural hair, certain methods like rings might not be suitable, as they can be too visible or heavy. In that case, I’d usually lean toward bonds, since they’re more discreet and we can customise the size to suit finer hair. I also ask what the extensions are for. If it’s for something like a wedding or special event, I tend to suggest bonds straight away because they’re super versatile and hold up beautifully through styling. It’s all about tailoring the method to the client’s hair type, lifestyle, and reason for getting them”

“There’s definitely a shift with the seasons. In the summer, we get loads of beachy-looking hair, requests for lighter tones with softer blends that evoke a holiday vibe. We’ve been getting a lot more people coming in for weddings, too, as well as festivals. In winter, it’s typically warmer colours like chocolate tones and deep caramels”
Maintenance Appointments
You’ll need regular maintenance appointments for our semi-permanent and permanent hair extension methods. Our tape extensions last for 6-8 weeks and can be refitted. Our Micro Ring extensions last for 3 months and then can be re-fitted

We asked some of our senior stylists for their top tips on keeping hair extensions looking their best. Here’s what Laleta had to say:
“If you want your extensions to last and stay tangle-free, how you sleep is very important. Always go to bed with completely dry hair, and loosely braid it or put it in a low ponytail. I recommend using a silk or satin pillowcase — it reduces friction, which helps prevent matting and keeps your extensions smoother for longer.”
We also caught up with our Senior Stylist, Jade, to hear her go-to advice when it comes to hair extension maintenance. Here’s what she shared:
“If I had to pick just one tip, I’d say keeping your extensions hydrated is key. Use a good salon-grade conditioner or lightweight oil, such as Moroccan Oil. Then, apply it to the mid-lengths to ends, avoiding the roots. Extensions don’t get the natural oils from your scalp like your real hair does, so they dry out faster. Keeping them moisturised keeps them soft, shiny, and tangle-free.”
Salon vs DIY: Which is more cost-effective?

The good news is that when extensions are applied and cared for correctly, they don’t have to cause any damage at all.
Our senior stylist Chloe explains:
“I totally do understand why people are so careful but I think a lot of the information they’re seeing online is outdated and some people have had bad experiences at salons that didn’t really know how to care for the hair correctly while the health of your natural hair is literally our top priority. We’re so careful with the placement and aftercare and as long as that’s all done correctly you shouldn’t be scared of extensions”
When we asked Chloe about her favourite transformations, she had plenty to choose from:
“I am always super busy in the salon, so I’ve had the chance to do some amazing transformations. Something that’s stuck with me is I’ve started doing Feather-light so I have a lot of clients that have had struggles that have left them with super thin hair so doing a subtle transformation that looks natural is always my favourite to do, don’t get me wrong I love a big bold transformation but just helping someone get back to what they could have is my favourite thing”.

In 2010, Sarah gained insight into the hair extensions industry and could see that clients had a very poor value/quality proposition. At that time, poor-quality hair extensions were available, at prohibitively high prices. Sarah left her initial career and set out on a mission to improve the hair extensions industry in the UK, using her research and development skills.
Spending 3 years securing a high-quality and sustainable supply of human hair, Sarah then developed new products and fitting techniques to allow long-term refits of the same hair. In this way, Sarah was able to offer hair extensions services at a more affordable price to clients, while improving the quality of the service for her clients.
With Vixen & Blush starting in 2012 as a 1 chair salon in London, Sarah quickly grew the business to what it is today, a team of more than 20 hair professionals working together as London’s leading hair extensions specialists.
