The correct maintenance is key to keeping your hair extensions in the best condition. Behind every hair envy snap on Instagram there is a great hair product or two being used.  We want to make sure you use the right products on your hair extensions so you can get the best result possible.

We want to ensure you keep that salon fresh feeling and ensure your hair is kept in perfect condition and allowed to grow freely while wearing your hair extensions.

Things you will need:

1. A good shampoo – We advise using a salon quality clarifying shampoo if you have oily hair or use a salon quality volumizing shampoo for regular/dry hair. Do not use supermarket quality shampoo.

In the salon our shelves are full of approved options for you to choose from and purchase on the day of your appointment. If you have fine hair we would recommend Muroto Volume Shampoo by Shu Uemera. If you have colour treated hair or thick hair we would recommend Colour Lustre by Shu Uemera.

A salon favourite is the natural eco range from Oway London. The Micro Stimulation hair bath by Oway is perfect for promoting new hair growth and improving hair thickness.

1. Conditioner – It’s best to use a lightweight, good quality conditioner on the ends of the hair only.
2. Moroccan Oil – This is great to use on the ends of your hair extensions to protect them from heat styling
3. Hairbrush – The best one to use with extensions is a tangle teaser
4. Hairdryer – Drying your hair correctly is key to good maintenance, you will need a good quality, effective hairdryer. When you dry your hair make sure your roots are dried thoroughly. The halo section at the top where there are no hair extensions should be blow-dried well until completely smooth, so that it sits into the hair extensions. You can leave you hair to dry naturally but make sure the roots are dried thoroughly first.
